In my work with Customer data sometimes it’s useful to get customers’ location and County from their postcodes. Due to variations in how people enter their address, town, city location etc, it can make the data a little messy. However with postcodes there is little variation in how they are entered. Thus it can make a cleaner data set if you use this.

Here’s an excel doc I put together to assist me with this that I thought i’d share. Simply paste your full postcodes in the spreadsheet to see the location and county they are from. Then copy this back into your data.
